For nearly two decades, PRESUMPTION (Doom – France) has continuously evolved, drawing influences from Cathedral, Black Sabbath, Triptykon, and Down. Through more than a hundred live performances alongside bands such as Mars Red Sky, Regarde Les Hommes Tomber, Headcharger, Electric Taurus, The Bottle Doom Lazy Band, and Barabbas, as well as several previous EPs, the band has kept transmitting a macabre yet captivating energy and atmosphere. The heavy and psychedelic riffs (Adrien & Marvin – Guitars & Backing Vocals), punctuated by the languid rhythm of the drummer (Anaël – Drums) and the words of the judge (Moomoot – Bass Guitar & Lead Vocals), embody the very essence of the band’s motto: to judge the madness of men. Their first full-length album, “Presumption,”was released on November 17, 2017 via Sleeping Church Records, features nine tracks. A music video will be unveiled in the coming months to illustrate one of the songs from the LP. This opus includes tortured vocals (“Deadly Barrels”), haunting voices (“Presumption”), and explores themes of human suffering (“Atomic Fear”) and mutual destruction (“Pale Blue Horses”). This deviation of humanity is also reflected through real-life stories (“Dr. Satan”) and literary works (“Red Death”), both serving as sources of inspiration for PRESUMPTION. In short, an enchanting and immersive sound, proving that blending a doom atmosphere with heavy or death-tinged vocals can create a truly cohesive musical identity.
